Fall Decorating!

It's officially fall and that means it's time to bring out the fall decor!  If you're looking for a creative and stylish statement piece for your home this season, sequin studded pumpkins are the perfect craft to do on one of those cold, rainy days! In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to make the initial pumpkin pictured above.

The pumpkins I used are foam pumpkins that I bought at Michael's Craft Store.  They come in many shapes and sizes.  I chose the large, round pumpkins for the initial design.
**Do not use real pumpkins.  The foam pumpkins won't rot, can be left out through the entire fall season, and can be used again and again for years to come!**

You will need a package of multicolored sequins and a package of white pearl head pins (both found at Michael's).  The package of sequins I used comes with a variety of gold tones and also includes both small and large sizes of sequins.

Using a pencil, lightly outline the letter (or any other design) that you want on your pumpkin.

Take a pin and slip it through the center of a sequin.

Line up the pin with the outline of your design and push the pin into the pumpkin.
Continue to follow your outline and alternate the colors and sizes of sequins as you go.

Here are some examples of the finished product! My roommate and I made our initials and displayed them on the windowsill in our dorm room! (See below)

Here are a few other design ideas!
 HAPPY FALL!!
