Fall Decor Inspiration

One of my favorite seasons to decorate for is fall, and now that the first day of the season as officially passed, it's time to break out the decor! When I think of fall I think of cozy, warm tones and of course, pumpkins! Last year I bought a set of decorative white, black and gold pumpkins from Target (which are available again this year). They are the perfect pieces to add a touch of chicness to any display. I paired the white and gold pumpkin with one of my favorite Bath and Body Works candles, from their White Barn collection, in between some deer antlers to create a sleek, rustic display as the centerpiece of a coffee table. (Shout out to my friend Margaret Anne for letting me use my decor to decorate her apartment for this post!...The furniture in my dorm room is not quite as pretty.)
For a side table, one of my favorite decorative pieces is a candle lantern! This piece is versatile for any season, but looks especially pretty next to the pumpkins. Toss a fuzzy throw blanket and some cable knit pillows on your couch next to it to create a cozy corner!
The decorating doesn't stop in the living room though! For the kitchen, my roommates and I keep a mini chalkboard out on our table all year round and love to write on it for different occasions. Check out the picture below to see the cute little fall greeting I drew on it to display next to a plate of freshly baked pumpkin spice muffins!
There are so many possibilities when it comes to fall decorating! You can see the pieces I used to decorate below and then check out the pieces I've rounded up and linked for you to achieve the look for yourself! Happy Decorating!!

Ringing in Fall

After the first two weeks of being back in New York City, it is finally starting to cool down and feel a bit more like fall. Transitioning from summer to fall can sometimes be hard to dress for. Do you start wearing your fall clothes for the chillier mornings, or do you still wear your summer clothes for the warmer afternoons?? During this time of the year, I search for pieces that suit both. This bell sleeve dress is the perfect transition piece! The chambray fabric is airy enough for warmer afternoons, while the long sleeve adds a bit of warmth against light breezes. And of course, the most eye-catching element of the dress- the bell sleeves- are the perfect touch to transition into fall trends.
I cannot wait to finally break out some fall clothes once it cools down some more and to share them with you! Until then, be sure to check out the pictures below as well as the outfit details and stay tuned for fall fashions coming very soon (hopefully)!!

DIY Vintage Suitcase Mini Bar

You know what they say...one man's trash is another man's treasure! I picked up this vintage suitcase out of a pile of free stuff on a neighbor's lawn and turned it into the perfect party prop. What was once a musky, distressed suitcase is now a golden, eye catching mini bar! After the makeover, I simply propped the suitcase open on a small folding table and filled it with drinks, glasses, and a jar of flowers. Finish off the set up with some fun globe lights, and you've got yourself a unique entertainment space! And here's the exciting part...You can watch the suitcase's transformation from start to finish in Kiss of Pink's first ever YouTube video! Check out the before and after pictures below and be sure to watch the video to see every step in between! Cheers!!

Forever Friends

There's nothing better than getting to spend the summer with my three best friends from home. The other night we got together for dinner and to capture a few pictures before Lauren starts her journey in Copenhagen, Denmark for the fall semester, and before the rest of us return to our schools. No matter where life takes us, we are always there for one another and always make time for each other. We can always count on each other when one of us needs a shoulder to cry on or simply a friend to laugh with. Our four very different personalities bring out the best in each other and we love to support each other in our different interests- and of course, cheer each other on with every accomplishment.
I can't wait to see what amazing things are in store for all of us this semester- especially Lauren, who we are all wishing the safest of travels and the most amazing experience abroad! Although we will be going our separate ways for yet another semester, I know life will always bring me back to my forever friends.

Tee Time

What's summer without at least one round golf!? My friend Lauren and I started playing golf just over six years ago when we joined our high school golf team as freshman and have been playing together ever since. Last week, we took advantage of a perfect summer day to get out on the course! We had so much fun getting back in the swing of things (pun intended)!
When hitting the golf course, I always like to dress as cool and comfortable as possible. This athletic dress is perfect for a hot day. The fabric is very breathable and allows for a lot of movement when swinging- plus it's super cute! To top it off, I threw on my go-to monogrammed baseball cap. It adds the perfect touch of prep and a pop of color!
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a few more rounds of golf before the summer is over- you could say this summer activity is just our cup of tee! Take a look at our day on the course below and see the links at the bottom for outfit details!

Star Spangled Glamour

Every heart beats true for the red, white and blue... and July 4th is just around the corner! Delicious food, fireworks, and spending the day with friends and family are just some of the things I love about the 4th of July. Every year my family hosts a pool party to bring everyone together to celebrate. Yard games, a clam bake, and our annual game of pool baseball always make for a memorable time. Of course, what's a 4th of July party with out the decorations!? Over the past couple years, we have collected quite the array of stars and stripes! I always love putting out all the decorations, but as you could probably guess, my favorite thing about the 4th is dressing in patriotic colors for all the festivities! Whether it's for the party, fireworks on the lake, or for our game of pool baseball, you can find me sporting red, white, and blue. Check out the pictures below to see the outfit inspiration and party essentials that I've rounded up to get you all ready for a fabulous 4th of July!
Happy Independence Day!!
